AN AFRICAN VILLAGE


              AN AFRICAN VILLAGE
AFRICAN, ONCE CALLED THE <Dark continent is the second largest continent. There are twenty five independent countries in this continent. Nigeria is also one of them  it is an agricultural country. Like Pakistan most of its inhabitants live in villages
      A village in Nigeria is different from ours it consists of ten to forty scattered huts SO there are no streets Modern methods of building and material are used now NOW  A farmers house has two or there rooms instead of a single one  the walls are made of wood and plastered with mud. The roof is still thatched with grass, reeds or palm leaves
The shape of these houses is circular square or rectangular there is little furniture these homes
               They use wood for lighting and heating purposes RAIN water is used for drinking which they store in large pounds the main food crops are plantains potatoes yams ground nuts and pepper WOMEN look after the food crops while men tend the cash crops like oil palms and coco tress farmers can not rear cattle due to testes fly SO a farmers ploughs the field with his hand he keeps a goat for milk and poultry for eggs an AFRICAN VILLAGERS is still in the process of change A day will come when these villagers will also see the modern facilities in their village

A HOCKEY MATCH


                                A HOCKEY MATCH
A FEW DAY ago, a friendly hockey match was played on our school play ground it was between the hockey teams of public school and ours the game was stared at 4.30 p,m AS referee give the whistle the centre forwards of both the teams started the game by the bully
A good number of students and outsiders had come to watch the match the game was in its beginning but it became very fast when the right in of publice school succeeded in scoring a goal in the twentieth minute it was a beautiful direct goal so the spectators shouted and cheered with great joy
      When the game was begun after the interval the players of our team made many attacks to score a goal the team of public school could not defend its self and the center forward of our school team made a beautiful goal in the last moments of the game SO the match ended in a draw ALL the spectators enjoyed themselves by observing the game of both the teams.

THE DOG IS a very faithful animal it is found all over the world it is found in many colours sizes and kinds

It eats meat milk and bread it is a very useful animal it guards the house at night it is also used for hunting it loves its master and never leaves his door it wags its tail when it sees its master people use them for fighting with bears and pigs the villagers keep a dog for  their safety when they are sleeping Trained dogs are used by police to catchthe thief it is also used by army to send a message during wartime
